Weekend Workshops with Special Guest Rolf Sovik
Dharma & Karma from the Teachings of the Bhagavad Gita
Friday, February 6th, 12:30-5:30pm
The philosophy of yoga offers a broad and penetrating understanding of life--one that connects seamlessly with yoga practice. Among the most important philosophical texts in yoga is the Bhagavad Gita, a treasure house of teachings written in the form of an intimate conversation between student and spiritual guide. There you will find answers to questions raised during a period of deep doubt and anguish--questions and answers
that redefine the nature of yoga itself. Discover how the healing elements of yoga form a natural starting place for practice; how efforts to act from within one’s own nature lead to peace of mind and heart; and how a fundamental understanding of the path of karma yoga makes sense of everyday actions. Discover how your personal practice of yoga links you to these themes, and in the process create a healing perspective that will enliven you and give you new sustenance in your inward journey.
